Some of you might recall a feature I wrote recently about Douglas Sharp, from Hayling Island, whose father, also Douglas, started one of the most famous motor businesses in Portsmouth, United Service Garages.
It appeared shortly before a reunion was held at The Fountain pub, Rowlands Castle, for all former and current employees.
Douglas then sent me the photograph taken at the event.
As you can see, there was a grand turn-out and Douglas can just be glimpsed in a dark shirt on the far side of the windshield of his 1925 Vauxhall 30/98.
He says: ‘It was a fantastic day and I’d hate to think how many thousands of years we must have all clocked up at USG.’
