Anyone who reads these pages will know the name Eddie Wallace, a former City Police fireman and constable. During the war he served in the army and saw action at D-Day.

He used to assist at the D-Day Museum talking to youngsters about what it was like to have been part of the Normandy invasion.

In June, 2009, the Queen visited the city and visited the museum where Eddie was introduced.
