Have your say

The photographs sent by Bob Meaden of young lads at HMS Vernon, Portsmouth, were so evocative I thought you’d like to see more.

I am sure many might recognise themselves.

Do you recognise the boy or the officer in this picture taken at HMS Vernon in the 1950s?

Most of these lads would now be in their late 60s or early 70s.

One picture shows a presentation being made to an unnamed chap by an equally anonymous captain. Can anyone name either?

Also pictured are young gun-runners celebrating winning a trophy and the 1956 Champion Gun Runners. I wonder if any of them went on to run in the adult event at Olympia.
