The marvellous sight and sound of 10 Spitfires flying at the recent Goodwood Revival prompted Mary Wells to go one better and send this picture.

It shows 16 of them in the air last year at the Battle of Britain Air Show at Duxford, near Cambridge.

Mary, of Lichfield Road, Copnor, Portsmouth, said the photograph was taken by her son-in-law Adam Warren.

She said: ‘It was a wonderful occasion with so many Spitfires brought together, as well as many other planes old and new.’
