It seems like only yesterday that High Street, Cosham, looked like this in the view north from the level crossing gates.

The Classic cinema, which became the Carlton, and The Railway pub opposite were both demolished in 2011.

This picture was taken by Philip Pyke, of Hilsea, in 1977.
