The girl is back in town

Before culverts were installed the Lavant used to run through Havant town centre. Here is a 1914 view along West Street.

Have your say

Margaret Cook was a local girl who emigrated to Australia in 1959, but she keeps coming back.

She first returned in 1963 and has reappeared on and off several times over the years.

A few weeks ago she organised a reunion for some of her former 1954 classmates from Penhale Infants School, Fratton, Portsmouth.

Here we see some of them at the reunion at the Good Companion on Eastern Road.
