My photo last week of the Savoy Ballroom on South Parade, Southsea, instigated Mrs Patricia Noble of Railway View, Landport.

She sent in this photo of dancers at a ballroom dancing competition in the early 1960s. Unfortunately Pat, the photo was marred and I had to crop it heavily. Many may remember Victor Sylvester on the television programme Come Dancing which no doubt made this form of dancing so popular at the time.
