It’s hard to believe now that buildings on the scale of these old barracks once existed on the site of Pembroke Park, Old Portsmouth

Most of the Victoria and Clarence barracks’s site was sold in 1966 for the Pembroke Park housing estate and hotel development on the fringes of Old Portsmouth. However, building did not start until the 1970s.
