We’re back on the buses today in the latest of John Kirby’s nostalgic tours of Portsmouth.

Nostalgic? Yes, because even though they were all taken in the 1980s, if you examine the backgrounds you will see how much of the city streetscape has changed in the past 25 years or so.

For example, look at the shot of Grove Road South, Southsea, with the now-demolished Hendy Ford garage behind the bus.
