You may have seen the Then and Now photographs I published some weeks ago from lower down Portsdown Hill looking up at almost the same location.

I was going to do the same with this picture, but there is so much shrubbery and hedging blocking the view it seemed a bit pointless.

However, we can enjoy this vista looking down the old A3 towards Cosham with Drayton in the distance.

A tram for Horndean is on its climb to The George pub on the brow of the hill.

Just in front can be seen the tram stop with a wooden railing around the platform. As I mentioned previously, the steps leading to this platform are still in place.
