Here are two shots of All Saints’ Church in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, taken from an unusual vantage point.

They were taken by Phil Couper, of Highbury, Cosham, from outside the upper projection box at the ABC/Savoy cinema 42 years ago.

Phil says: ‘I used to carry a couple of 126 cameras, one loaded with Ilford black and white the other with Prinzcolor (Dixon’s own). I took these on May 7, 1970, when I was the fourth projectionist at the cinema.’
