Have your say

No, Pompey have not just won the FA Cup.

This is the attendance for a National Day of Prayer in Guildhall Square on on May 26, 1940, eight months after the start of the Second World War.

I wonder if the same

event occurred today what the attendance might be?

It must have been such a nervous time in the city and what was to occur just months ahead, on January 10, 1941, would only make matters worse.

In the top right hand corner is a trolley bus in Greetham Street.
