Carol Miles hopes readers might be able to help with information about this picture.

Her father, Peter Lea, who is second from the left in the back row, was 17 or 18 when the photo appeared in The Evening News.

He was born in 1925 so this dates it to 1942/43.

Carol found the picture while clearing her parents’ house.

She says: ‘He was involved in the first computers and this may be part of what the photo is about, or the equipment may be entirely unrelated.

‘It is obviously an official photo.’
