Have your say

John Etherington is the proud lad seated on the right holding a swimming trophy, and he would like to find out what happened to the other boys in this picture.

They were pupils at St John’s Church of England Primary School at Forton Road, Gosport, when the photograph was taken in 1954 or 1955.

John, who now lives in Flintshire, can put names to them all, but is not certain about the spellings.

Back row (l to r): Kenny Choppin, Gerald Burnett, AE Stainer (headmaster), Pete Barton, John Hillary. Front: Tony Sparshott and John Etherington.

Please get in touch and I’ll pass on details to John.
