David Lindsell is digging into his family history and wonders if readers can help with information or pictures of an old Portsmouth pub.

His grandfather, John Bayne, ran a pub called Who’d a Thought It at 24, Surrey Street, Landport from 1905 until 1915. It was listed as a Gales house.

David, who lives in Andover, said: ‘It had become a cafe run by Mrs Annie Bullen by 1938 and was destroyed by enemy action during the Second World War.’

Can anyone help?
