When did you last go away and where did you go? It was to Ibiza in the summer this year on a girls’ holiday for a friend’s hen celebrations. We try to go away at least once a year on a girls’ holiday, which is always great fun. What was the last gig you went to? It was at the Hideaway Jazz bar in Streatham, London where I saw Jocelyn Brown perform an intimate gig. It was such a stunning venue and a real privilege to
see her perform live. The last book you read? A Thousand Splendid Suns, which was the second time I have read it as it is one of my favourites. It is so moving and an incredible story. I love reading and am currently reading a book called Perfect People. What about the last theatre show you saw? Guys and Dolls at Chichester Festival Theatre as a friend of mine was in the cast. The show was incredible and the choreography was very clever. What’s your favourite way to relax? A bubble bath with candles, a glass of wine and a good book. I also love a good walk with a dog, although we have to borrow our friend’s dog as we haven’t one of our own – yet! What do you watch on TV? I love a good drama series on TV like Broadchurch or Downtown Abbey, but my guilty pleasure is reality TV – shows such as I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! I also love Strictly. Which celeb would you most like to spend a weekend with? Martin Clunes (below), as I think he is so interesting and has a passion for dogs. I would also like to spend a night out with Holly Willoughby as I think she would be be great fun. Where do you shop? I shop in Topshop, Zara and River Island as I love clothes shopping, although I have recently bought a house so now love shopping in John Lewis, Next Home and Ikea. Where do you eat out? I love food and love eating out at all kinds of restaurants depending on the occasion. Wagamama is a favourite for a quick meal out. Koh Thai Tapas in Portsmouth is great for a birthday or special occasion. What’s your signature dish, if you’re cooking? Lamb pilaf rice with mango and coconut. The lamb is cooked slowly so it is tender and the mango and coconut mix well with the curry flavouring. Where’s good for a day out? I love a good local country pub, although I also enjoy the hustle and bustle of London (above), which I often visit with friends. Clapham and Balham are favourite spots for a night out as I used to live nearby. What are your hobbies? Dancing – which I used to do as a profession – and socialising with friends. I also love cooking and would love to have more time at home to bake cakes and make jam.
