My weekend: Dan Swan

Dan Swan, manager at Tiger Tiger

Dan Swan, manager at Tiger Tiger

As assistant general manager of Tiger Tiger, Dan Swan, 32, spends a lot of time in the Gunwharf Quays club. But Dan, who lives in Fareham, fits in plenty of other activities.

When did you last go away and where did you go?

In August, my fiancée and I took my two boys on a trip of a lifetime to Walt Disney World in Florida for two weeks. It was the most amazing experience and worth every penny. I think we would all go back there tomorrow.

What was the last gig you went to?

Well, if I am honest, it was

when I took my mum to see the X Factor Live tour last year. However, next Wednesday I am taking my fiancée to see Florence and the Machine (pictured) at the 02 Arena and that sounds a bit cooler, so I’ll be able to say that in a few days.

What about the last theatre show you saw?

It was on a night out with Tiger Tiger managers to We Will Rock You in the West End of London, the musical by Queen and Ben Elton. It was a really good show that made for a great night out

The last book you read?

What with the work I do and having two children, I cannot remember the last time I had the opportunity to sit down with a book. My absolutely favourite read is Stuff magazine. I enjoy reading about the latest gadgets, gear and technology

The last film you saw at the cinema or on DVD?

The new James Bond film, Skyfall, which was brilliant. I think Twilight will be next on the agenda.

What’s your favourite way to relax?

I love to unwind by spending time with my family and watching a good film with a takeaway, but the only time I can really take my mind off things is when I am playing on a football pitch.

What do you watch on TV?

My Sky Plus box is getting
increasingly full with episodes of MOTD, Supernatural, Walking Dead, Arrow, Grimm, Friday Night Lights, Top Gear (pictured) and lately X Factor (for work – we’ve been hosting visits from the X Factor contestants who have left the show). I don’t actually know when I am going to watch it all.

Which celeb would you most like to spend a weekend with?

Part of me says Morgan Freeman or Will Smith as those guys are legends, but the
other part says Emma Bunton as I had a massive crush on her when I was younger.

Where do you shop?

Most often? Asda. I do most of my clothes shopping in Gunwharf Quays stores such as Ted Baker, Jack Wills and Nike. It’s so convenient when you work there.

Where do you eat out?

Mostly Frankie & Benny’s in Gunwharf or TGI Friday’s in Segensworth.

What about pubs and bars, where do you go?

Well I obviously spend a lot of my life in Tiger Tiger, so my friends often come and meet me there or want to go there for a night out. We do start the night in Bar 38, also in Gunwharf Quays. I also love my dad’s pub, The King Alfred in Winchester – it’s amazing.
