Dating back to 1875, this charming cottage has been subject to an extensive and comprehensive refurbishment programme.

The current owner has created a modern and beautiful home, whilst at the same time paying tribute to the original heritage of the building. The walls and ceilings have a flat plaster finish and there are a variety of period features, some of which date back to the property’s early days and some later ones such as the 1930s tiled fireplaces.

The result is quite magical as it allows modern living with all its attractions but in a house full of elegance and character.

Some of the most appealing features include a new kitchen/breakfast room, which opens on to a rear glazed area thus allowing the kitchen additional light.

This feeling of space and light is unusual in a property of this age and this extends throughout the cottage. The bathroom is traditional in design and the suite sympathetic with the era.

Externally the property has a large back garden which backs on to the River Wallington at the far end. The garden has been subdivided into two sections with a patio area adjacent to the rear of the house.

The lawn extends down the garden to the vegetable area beyond. This has raised beds and is an ideal opportunity for a beginner or an experienced gardener to enjoy growing their own produce.
