Bins are binned by Fasset in waste cull

Bosses at Langstone Technology Park have thrown their bins away.

Fasset, operator of the Havant park, has removed 50 waste bins from 50 work stations at its HQ in a bid to cut waste, replacing them with one central bin.

The central 'rubbish hub' has five colour-coded receptacles for general waste destined for landfill, paper, cardboard, aluminium tins and plastics.

Cyril Campbell, of Fasset, said: 'The feedback has been excellent.'

According to government figures, the average UK office worker uses 1,584 sheets of paper each month, which is equivalent to more than two trees per person each year.
