Hampshire County Council has appointed Gill Duncan as its new director of Adult Services.

Gill was assistant director with responsibility for Older People and Physical Disabilities, and joined the county council in 2004 to head up nursing and residential care.

Prior to that she was chief executive of the North Hampshire Primary Care Trust.

As Hampshire County Council's director of Adult Services Gill will oversee around 3,900 staff providing residential, day care and home care services to older people and people with disabilities and mental health problems.

Titchfield Dental Health has welcomed a new staff member to their team.

Christine Cheshire BDS DPDS RCS will join them at their practice in Park Gate, Fareham.

Ms Cheshire is a highly qualified and respected dental surgeon who has worked in the oral surgery department at Queen Alexandra Hospital for two days a week.

She will be undertaking restorative and cosmetic dentistry initially and will move to dental implants.

Kirsty Newman newly-promoted to the post of project manager has been with The Listening Centre for six years.

After completing a Media Arts Degree at Royal Holloway University she moved from Basingstoke to Portsmouth.
