GOSPORT’S BIG DAY OUT: This event on Sunday, based around Stokes Bay, has sailing, watersports, zorbing, face painting, a merry-go-round, activity centre, test your strength game and golf challenge. WESSEX CANCER TRUST FAMILY AND WATER ACTIVITIES FUN DAY: There’s more water-based fun today at this event at Portsmouth Water Activities Centre, Eastern Road, Portsmouth, with kayaking, canoeing, rowing, dinghy sailing, climbing, stalls and music. See linkedupfundraising.co.uk.

HMS COLLINGWOOD OPEN DAY: Today the Maritime Warfare School at HMS Collingwood in Fareham opens its gates for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) Field Gun Competition. The Royal Navy Raiders Parachute Display team and the Royal Marines Band will also be in action, plus displays, a simulator, high ropes challenge, fun fair, kids’ entertainment and stands. HMS EDINBURGH: Today and Sunday, visitors can go aboard HMS Edinburgh at Victory Jetty. This Type 42 destroyer is open with free admission.
