Deal a breath of fresh air
A breath of fresh air has breezed into town, as a property deal is struck in Petersfield.
Commercial property agent Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has completed a deal at Unit 1, 3 Penns Road, Petersfield, to an 'air handling' company, EAS Ltd.
The office unit measures 1,656 sq ft, and is on a new 10-year lease, at a rent close to the quoting figure of 11,000 per annum.
EAS manufactures and installs equipment to control the flow of air in industrial processes.
Established in 1992 with bases in London and Birmingham, EAS has an impressive client list including IBM, BMW, Rolls-Royce and PME.
Managing director Graham Howard said: 'The new facilities have allowed us to increase our design and manufacturing elements in all forms of ducting, galvanised, PVC, stainless steel and aluminium.'
Derek Holloway, director of Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell which acted on the deal, said he believes this type of business can only thrive, despite the economic gloom.
'EAS Ltd straddle both traditional air conditioning for commercial business, but also offer a wide range of alternative greener options with solar power, ground and air heat source pumps, which is undoubtedly where industry is heading,' he said.
Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has also reported a fresh deal at Cumberland Business Centre, Northumberland Road, Portsmouth.
The office accommodation measuring 733 sq ft has been let to DJD Decorators on an initial 12-month lease.
The unit was let at a figure close to the asking price.
