Enterprise by name, enterprising by nature
Despite the current economic climate, Portsmouth's three Enterprise Centres are continuing to flourish.
Bakery wholesaler Baileys has recently moved into premises at the Portsmouth Enterprise Centre in Quartremaine Road.
Recruiters Morstaff Woods and mail order company Solent Cables have each expanded into larger premises at the Victory Business Centre, Somers Road North.
A discounted rent scheme is available to new companies at 40 per cent for the first six months, 20 per cent for the next six, and 10 per cent for the whole of the second year.
Councilor Mike Hancock, MP for Portsmouth South, said: 'In these difficult times, businesses that take up business support packages, such as the discounted rent at our Enterprise Centres, are best able to survive and make the most of the eventual recovery.'
