Just in time for the Olympics, the summer has finally arrived - and what better than to sit in the garden on a warm evening with a glass of sauvignon blanc?

New Zealand is the current destination of choice for this in-vogue grape, but how about three slightly different takes on the Marlborough classic? Invivo ‘Bella’ Sauvignon Blanc 2011, Marlborough (yourfavouritewines.com, £14.99) comes in at 9.5 per cent and 30 per cent fewer calories than Invivo’s other sauvignon blanc.

I have to say it really works, unlike so many other lower alcohol wines. Some tropical fruit, clean, zesty acidity and a refreshing finish - perfect summer lunchtime wine.
