Have your say

This sounds like a good idea. Buy a bottle of wine from the Piggy Bank range for £7.99 and 50p goes to a charity - and you can vote to help choose where it goes to.

Luckily the wines all work and some of them are very good and really over-deliver for the price. What’s more, they’re on offer at Waitrose currently for £5.99 and 50p still goes to charity. There are six wines in the range - go to piggybankwine.com – made by some well-respected winemakers and you can scan the QR code on the back to vote for where the donations go. Piggy Bank Sauvignon Blanc 2011, Elqui Valley (Waitrose £5.99 until October 9) is from Chile. It’s very fresh with tropical fruit and green pepper and a pleasing zesty feel. A great aperitif for any summer that remains. Piggy Bank Syrah 2010, Elqui Valley (Waitrose £5.99 until October 9) is also from Chile. This has very pure black fruits and peppery notes. Try with some sausage and mash.

Top Tipple

Piggy Bank Grenache 2011, Pays d’Oc

Dark fruits on the nose with some spice, followed by smooth dark fruits on the palate with nice balance and a fresh finish. Try with grilled lamb or some cheese.

Waitrose £5.99 until October 9
