Firm friends Alex Smart and Myles Turner celebrated their birthdays with a joint football party.

The boys, from Cosham, share the same birthday and are both football mad.

They had a Pompey party at Highbury Sports Centre to celebrate turning six.

Alex and Myles invited their friends from Court Lane Infant School to join them and everyone had a great time.

Alex’s mum Julie says: ‘They had the Pompey coaches come in for an hour and then they had a McDonald’s.

‘After that they had a kick-around for half an hour.

‘The Pompey Foundation came in to do the coaching. The coaches go to their school, so they know them from there.

‘They both got some Pompey gifts from them as well. They’re football mad.’

Alex and Myles are pictured here at the back, standing between the coaches. Alex is on the left and Myles is standing next to him.

The boys knew exactly what kind of party they wanted and even asked for a joint birthday cake with a picture of both of them superimposed onto the icing.

‘They loved having the party together,’ adds Julie. ‘They absolutely loved it.’
