'Being impressed with our capability, we were offered their work. It gave us the opportunity to help support our servicemen by producing modifications to aircraft; in particular helicopters.
'Service aircrew fly their machines daily and are best placed to demand changes within the aircraft.
'These requests, if approved, are designed into reality by the unit who involve our engineers along the way, often from the start depending on the urgency.
'Being involved in such projects gives our team a real buzz, and a welcome release from the day-to-day batch work; the norm in our particular field.
'Progressing a project of national importance through to completion is about as exciting as this industry gets, in the full knowledge that its final destination could be on the front line.'
