Pull on your wellies and come and join us

Hello sunshine. Yes, just a little through my window after a week of rain and shivers.

It’s been quite a month too for the green spaces across our city.

It seems we are fighting a losing battle to keep our trees and stop the concrete.

What comes around goes around, we know, but it’s a hard winter all right. However, in just 40 days and nights we shall have spring. And what will poor Robin do ’til then poor thing? Hopefully we will have filled up all our bird tables. Well done to the bird-counters who took part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch.

So this weekend, if it doesn’t rain, I will be down in the community garden filling up those bird feeders, emptying water out of pots, tidying up, and making a raised bed out of straw bales given to us by Greens Cafe.

If you’re not too busy and you fancy a challenge, pop on your wellies and come and give us a hand. Or join us at a later date which will be posted here and on our website southseagreenhouse.co.uk.
