Have your say

We need a little help from our friends to finish building the polytunnel and plant seeds so we can grow thousands of plants and trees at Canoe Lake.

We’ve just collected the saplings for the community orchard so now we need to plant and protect them.

Can you help? If so, please join us on Tuesday or Thursday mornings or on Sundays from 1pm-3pm.

There’s a Skillshop at the Canoe Lake community garden on February 24 funded by the European Social Fund. It’s free for the un-waged and £5 via donation for anyone else. This session will be led by well-known Garden Angel, Lorien Loten. She has worked with many local gardens in the city and will share her tips on companion planting and how to grow in small spaces. It starts at 12.30pm. Places are limited places so book soon on 07530 913211. More information from southseagreenhouse.co.uk.
