We might be quitting the EU, but the garden still needs attention

So is the world still turning? Are we all adrift, or out in the garden as usual, pulling up weeds and fighting off snails? Oh my goodness I admit defeat there. We've had an invasion of the little blighters this year. Every veg bed has been annihilated and we are still fighting the battle to get baby plants to grow tall enough to survive.

We’ve been drenched by summer rain and had loads of fun working with brilliant volunteers – making windchimes, memento boxes, planting seeds and hanging baskets and clay pots with Pompey in the Community. Makes it all worthwhile.

Our portable building gets a makeover this weekend.

Thanks to our local councillor Matt, the Lib Dems and our dear old friends for help rejuvenating this community space. Please come and share it with us. Why not adopt a bed?

Or why not take part in our summer workshops.

Come on Sunday and help paint and pack up the shed... if you can escape your own garden.
