A three-bedroom house in Gosport – pictured above – is to go under the auctioneer’s hammer.

With a guide freehold price of £120-£130,000, the mid-terrace property at 7 Freemantle Road is among 17 lots being sold by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.

Rob Marchant, auctioneer, said: ‘We anticipate keen interest from first-time buyers or buy-to-let investors. We hope that bidders vote with their wallets on auction day, which coincides with the General Election.’

Also for sale, below right, with an estimated freehold value of £130-£150,000, is a three-bedroom house, chalked for ‘improvement’, at 65 St Michael’s Grove, Fareham.

Rob said: ‘The mid-terrace house features two good-sized reception rooms whilst to the rear is a substantial rear garden and a garage accessed via a rear service road.’

With a freehold guide price of £280-£290,000, property investors can bid for eight bedsits at a large detached property at 194-196 Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park.

The bedsits, with communal facilities, are on the site of the former police station.

He added: ‘Record employment on the back of a strengthening economy, coupled with the ultra-low interest rate and negligible inflation, makes property an attractive proposition compared to the paltry returns currently generated by cash on deposit.’

Starting at 11am, the auction takes place at the Ageas Bowl on Thursday, May 7.

One of the four largest land and property auction companies in the UK, Clive Emson’s auctioneers are regulars on BBC One’s long-running Homes Under The Hammer series, presented by Lucy Alexander and Martin Roberts.
