How to cook a sugar-free Bolognese sauce

As people are advised not to eat sugar-laden sauces too often, here’s an alternative recipe to try at home.

It comes from the sugarfree.mom website and is easy to prepare from scratch.

So, as Mars issues advice on restricting some of its products including Dolmio sauces here are the ingredients you’ll need for a home-made alternative:-

6 oz. pork sausage

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 c. onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 c. water

2-28 oz. cans of crushed tomatoes

2 tsp. dried fennel seed

2 tsp. dried basil

2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pepper

2 tsp. dried parsley
