Premier League duo fight over striker

Spurs and Newcastle are set to launch a transfer war over Sporting Lisbon's £20million striker Liedson.

The 30-year-old Brazilian has had offers to leave Portugal.

His agent Gilmar Veloz said: "People say Spartak Moscow is an option but English clubs are interested in him."
