Proud of her trimmer look
Super-slimmer Kerry O'Shaughnessy is celebrating after losing more than five stone in weight.
The 47-year-old joined Slimming World in February and hasn't looked back.
Kerry decided to lose the weight after returning from a family holiday to Florida in tears.
She'd had to hire a wheelchair to get around and on the plane back she'd been squashed into a seat and laughed at by the cabin crew.
The mum-of-three decided enough was enough and set out to make some big changes in her life. After shedding some weight on her own she joined the slimming group and soon found its programme worked for her.
Earlier this year Kerry was named Slimmer of the Year by her group and as a reward the kind staff at Innovation in Gosport offered to give her a magnificent makeover.
Here's how Kerry, from Gosport, got on.
Hair
The salon's assistant manager Kate Church took charge of giving Kerry a pampering day to remember. The first thing Kate set about changing was Kerry's hair colour which had been dyed a harsh red.
Kate applied a more natural red/brown colour all over followed by some blonde and bronze slices to brighten the look.
Kerry's hair was already quite short but had no style to it, so Kate worked hard to create plenty of texture and added a slanting fringe.
After running the mini styling irons through the hair to create body, Kate finished the style using Redken products including Rough Paste, to hold the cut's texture, and Vinyl Glam, a shine spray.
Make-up
Stylist Julie Denver stepped in to give Kerry a fresh new make-up look and showed her how to apply new products.
Julie began by applying a beige foundation to even out the skin tone. As Kerry suffers from dark circles around her eyes, Julie showed her how to use lighter shades of eyeshadow to great effect.
Julie used a pale pink colour which had golden tones in it to create the look and a bronzer was used across the face to give Kerry a healthy glow.
As Julie had made Kerry's eyes the main feature she kept the lips neutral with a nude lipgloss after defining the shape first with a lip pencil.
Verdict?
Kerry, who is married to Mike and has two grandchildren, says: 'It's been lovely. I love the colour of my hair and I couldn't have wanted it to look any better than this. It's been a really nice way to be pampered.
'I was really surprised when I was named Slimmer of the Year. I've still got about four stone to lose but the thing about Slimming World is that I never have to starve myself and I'm never hungry.'
