The tall ship Stavros S Niarchos will be returning to Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays on Wednesday.

During her stay, visitors will be able to explore her magnificent decks and get a taste for life at sea, with a guided tour from the volunteer crew of the Tall Ships Adventures.

Stavros S Niarchos, will be open to visitors in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth from 11am until 4pm.

Volunteer crew will be on hand to show visitors around the ship and answer questions about the 200ft tall ship, a British brig-rigged ship primarily designed to provide young people with the opportunity to undertake voyages as character-building exercises.

Tall Ships Adventures offers a variety of sailing experiences for both young people and adults on board a tall ship, Four ‘Round the World’ 72ft Challenger yachts and a 62ft catamaran.

Information on how to take part in a voyage on board will be available on the day. Visitors are advised that spaces to look around the ship will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
