A PORTSMOUTH family is eagerly waiting to see if they will be given the chance to battle it out for £100,000 on a television game show.

The Godbold family, made up of mum Joy, sons Paul and Benjamin and daughter Martina, are one of four families who have made it to the final selection stage of ITV1’s Push The Button.

They will be live from their Portsmouth home today to see if they will be picked to take part in the show.

Push The Button, which is hosted by duo Ant and Dec, sees two families go head-to-head in a series of games and save a £100,000 pot of money given to them at the beginning of the show.

The losing family is kicked off and then replaced by one of four families, who are standing by.

Presenter Dec said: ‘Live television is always exciting and unpredictable, and with all the new twists and turns, the second series of Push The Button will definitely liven up your Saturday nights.’

To see if the Godbolds are successful, tune into ITV1 today at 7.45pm.
