Craft activities at the Dockyard

STEVE CANAVAN: A real cliffhanger in the Lakes

Have your say

Get hands-on with activities for all ages at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard this weekend, including having a go at a range of Tudor crafts.

The event – Spinning a Yarn – takes place tomorrow and Sunday and includes demonstrations of spinning and weaving by the Portchester Spinners.

Visitors are also encouraged to make their own cord wheel to take home.

During your visit to the Historic Dockyard, you can find out what it was really like to serve and fight on board the ships that shaped Britain’s history, plus learn about modern warships.

The Spinning a Yarn event runs from 10am until 4pm on both days and is included in your admission ticket price into the attraction. See
