Daredevil Claire Browne is this week’s We Can Do It T-shirt winner because she is taking a major leap of faith for a worthy cause.

Claire, of Waterlooville, will abseil down the side of the Spinnaker Tower in a bid to raise cash for The Rose Road Association, a charity based in Southampton which looks after young people with disabilities.

Claire, 22, will take on the challenge at the Portsmouth landmark on Saturday, June 2.

So far she has managed to raise £290 towards her target of £500.

Claire is no stranger to raising money for worthy causes.

Six years ago she took part in a skydive and raised almost £400 for cancer charity Clic Sargent in the process.

She says: ‘It’s been a while since I’ve done something for charity and this felt like the right thing to do.

Claire, who is a marketing co-ordinator for charted accountancy firm Wilkins Kennedy, in Winchester, adds: ‘At the moment I’m feeling excited and terrified about doing it. I’m mainly looking forward to it though.

‘The Rose Road Association is a fantastic local charity and some of my colleagues are trustees of it.’

The charity needs to raise £500,000 each year in order to carry out its work. For more information about the charity visit roseroad.org.uk
