Hi there Chipsters and welcome to today’s fun-filled Chipper Club page.

Do make sure you check out today’s competition. There’s a fun word search for you to crack plus some wonderful books to give away as prizes.

Today’s bold and bright picture comes courtesy of Chipster 2046 Madison Matthews, five, from Denmead.

Last Saturday I featured five winning butterfly designs and the Chipsters responsible for those works of art will receive family tickets to visit Earnley Butterflies, Birds and Beasts.

But I was so impressed with Madison’s amazing picture of a butterfly that I felt her drawing deserved to be shared as well.

Remember, if you’ve got a talent for art I’m always keen to see your pictures. Whenever possible, I’ll make sure I share them with the rest of the club members too. This weekly page is all about you and the great things you get up to, so don’t be shy! Get colouring and send me your designs.

Now for some exciting news from your old pal Chipper’s Hilsea HQ this week.

The News Centre pond is teeming with life – including a handful of cute ducklings that hatched a few weeks ago.

You’d think that dogs like me might like to chase the ducks, but these furry balls of fluff are too cute. If you’ve got doggy friends at home, remember to keep them away from nesting birds and other wildlife.

That’s it my friends, so until next Saturday, I’ll say chip chip for now!
