LETTER OF THE DAY: Housing - more needs to be done

Have your say

GET the whole family out for some active fun in the glorious sunshine this weekend.

There are two free healthy bike rides planned for this weekend, which are not just simple rides around locations in Portsmouth, but also offer different activities as well.

First, tomorrow join Admiral Lord Nelson and his ‘HMS Victory’ bikeship for an adventure on the high seas.

The Family Nelson Ride, from 11am until 1pm, starts at Southsea Skate Park.

The route is mainly on cycle paths, making this event suitable for young children to attend.

Then on Sunday, take part in the Metropolis ride, looking at interesting and imposing local architecture.

This cycle ride commences at Portsmouth Guildhall Square at 11am, ending at approximately 3pm.

Its route involves mainly quiet roads and cycle routes.

Before you head out, please make sure your bike is in working order and you bring suitable clothing including a hi-visibility jacket and helmet if you have them, and lights, drinking water and sun lotion if required.
