The Explosion! Museum at Gosport,has lots of summer holiday fun suitable for children of all ages.

Throughout August the museum has family-themed activities including Hunt The Mice and a Dress Up Challenge.

Each week the museum will have a different theme and there will be a dedicated activity from noon-2pm in the Education Centre.

Starting on Monday will be Feed The Forces, where children can design their own ship biscuits.

Explosion! is a museum for naval warfare and was created within the 18th century buildings at the depot of Priddy’s Hard.

Inside the building you will find enriching history that is brought to life through the museum’s extensive collection of artefacts. There is even an atom bomb to meet visitors on arrival.

You can take a tour of the museum where you will find interesting facts and stories about the lives of people in Gosport during the war.

The museum is open daily from 10am-5pm. Admission: £10 adults and £6 children.
