Patricia and Lionel Male celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a big family party.

The couple, who live in Copnor, were married at Patricia’s local church in Tenby, Pembrokeshire on March 17, 1962, before going on their honeymoon to Plymouth.

They regularly travelled around as Lionel was in the RAF. They lived in Scotland, Wales and Gibralter before settling in Portsmouth in 1975.

Patricia, 78, and Lionel, 82, have three children – Sue, 48, and twins Andy and Carol, 46.

They also have seven grandchildren, Ashley, Jack, Mark, Melissa, Andi, Steven and Sam.

The happy couple have eight great-grandchildren – Joey, Trinity, Finley, Leo, Corsa, Archie, Skye, and Darcy who was born in January.

Patricia and Lionel celebrated the big day by having a party with all their friends and family at their local pub, the Star and Garter in Copnor Road.
