EGYPTIAN dancing, a treasure hunt and a bouncy castle assault course all helped make an action-packed family fun day.
Visitors turned up to have a great time and enjoy food and drink at St Faith’s Church in Victoria Square, Lee-on-the-Solent at the weekend.
Other attractions included a petting zoo and performances by acts including The Burns Unit and The Stokes Bay Strummers.
The first 200 children who came along got a free lunch and families raced each other on static bicycles.
Ten craft stalls were put on and a raffle held.
Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage was among those in attendance.
The event was put on by a joint committee made up of St Faith’s Church, Lee-on-the-Solent’s Residents’ and Community’s associations and The Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent Lions Club.
Martin Marks, chairman of the joint committee, said: ‘It’s always a great idea for the community to get together. It was absolutely brilliant in terms of local spirit.’
