Children and families will now be able to enjoy an improved community room thanks to help from a construction company.
The EC Roberts Centre, in Crasswell Street, Landport, works with people dealing with homelessness or family difficulties.
Staff wanted to expand a community room inside their centre and construction company BAM stepped in to help.
Within three weeks the firm transformed the area to include a new kitchen, flooring, carpets and blinds, costing £20,000.
Chief executive Carole Damper said: ‘It’s amazing what the company has done for us – truly amazing.
‘It’s reassuring about mankind considering the difficult times we’re in.
‘We are very grateful.’
