Have your say

If you want to be the best of the barbecue crowd, a masterclass with a Michelin-starred chef should put you ahead of all rivals.

Atul Kochhar will be offering tips and showing off techniques for impressive and enjoyable outdoor cooking at his Wickham restaurant Vatika.

Atul and executive chef Jitin Joshi will host a BBQ and share their techniques on the restaurant’s terrace overlooking the vines at Wickham Vineyard.

The class, which includes lunch and a glass of wine, is being held as part of this year’s Hampshire Food Festival.

The month-long celebration of the county’s food and drink also features a tour of Wickham Vineyard followed by lunch and wine-tasting at Vatika. This event is hosted by Jitin Joshi.

Atul says: ‘The Hampshire Food Festival has a fantastic reputation throughout the UK and we’re very proud that Vatika is taking part again this year.

“It’s the perfect time of year for us to celebrate local produce.

“I love our BBQ master classes, and this year we’ll be sharing our tips for the ultimate BBQ with more people than ever.’

The festival begins tomorrow and incorporates annual events, food-promoting schemes and experiences arranged for the month-long celebration.
