A celebrity tea party is being held to celebrate the opening of a new exhibition in Gosport Gallery.

Visitors can meet Mrs Potts, the teapot from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and the Mad Hatter getting ready for his tea party, as Tea Tales is launched.

Children will also be able to stroke the Tiger Who Came to Tea and make their own tiger mask during this free event.

Whilst there, go back in time and find out what was eaten for tea in the 1950s and even lay the tea table using real museum collections.

Other activities for children include decorating a tea plate which they can take home and dressing up as a character from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

The event takes place tomorrow, from 10am until 4pm. Call (023) 9250 1957 for more information.
