The sky’s the limit for our two We Can Do It t-shirt winners this week.

Jemma Cadman, 28, and Ruth Kneller, 31, will be taking part in a sky dive to raise money for Jemma’s son Alfie.

The nine-year-old, of Elkstone Road, Paulsgrove, suffers from cerebral palsy and attends Mary Rose School in Gisors Road, Southsea.

Mum Jemma, who works as a teaching assistant at the school, said: ‘It was one of my friends who suggested I do the jump.

‘In the past I have been terrified of water, but to fundraise for Alfie I learnt to swim.

‘I am a bit fearful of heights, so I want to do something that will be a challenge for me.’

The pair want to raise enough money to buy Alfie a special 42in touch screen computer, costing £3,600.

So far £1,500 has been raised, but the friends hope the sky dive will give them the extra money needed.

‘Alfie has one of these computers at school and it has helped him with his development so much,’ added Jemma.

‘It’s amazing, he’s talking a lot more and it’s also helped his hand-eye co-ordination.

‘It will really help him and hopefully we’ll get the money.’

The sky dive takes place on May 14 in Salisbury where the pair will jump from a height of 5,000ft.
