When did you last go away and where did you go?
We had a family holiday in Turkey last May to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. My husband Andy and I took our daughters (aged five and eight at the time) to the Baia Lara Hotel in Antalya. It was amazing and the children loved it.
What was the last gig/concert you went to?
We managed to get tickets to the Take That Progress tour a couple of years ago – after sitting forever at three different computers! I went with my sister and mum for some girlie time together. We had a great time away together and the boys (Take That) were, of course, totally brilliant!
What about the last theatre show you saw?
The Wizard of Oz. Andy and I took the girls for a pre Christmas/birthday treat to London the weekend before Christmas 2011. All of our birthdays are November and December. My girls are really into dancing and I did a stint at the Kings Theatre as a child (with Iris Barnes School of Dance) so we love a show. We were really impressed, as was Andy who had never seen a theatre show before.
The last book you read?
I find it hard to read a book as I’m always on the go! I pick up motivational books to help with my busy life...... I love Jim Rohn, he is amazing. I read a book when I was pregnant – it was Anthony Kiedis’ (Red Hot Chili Peppers) autobiography.
The last film you saw at the cinema or on DVD?
Again, I struggle with the time factor here. We took the girls to see Brave as we all love Disney films and shed a tear at every one!
What’s your favourite way to relax?
I normally only become still when I am asleep! I love to stay on the move and have chosen a job to make sure that happens. But I do make time for a back massage every three weeks to keep my back healthy.
What do you watch on TV?
Strictly is the highlight of my year! Life stops for Strictly (but we do record it if something very important comes up).
Which celeb would you most like to spend a weekend with?
If you’d asked me 10 years ago, it would have been Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp. Now though, I would enjoy time with a talented chef or en-trepreneur to see how they tick.
Where do you eat out?
There are a few bistros in Southsea I love which cook food from scratch. I have been more than happy at Becketts, Bistro Montparnasse and Kitsch ‘n d’Or.
What’s your signature dish if you’re cooking?
Rick Stein has an amazing recipe with haddock, spinach, new potatoes, whiskey sauce and mussels, it is mouthwatering! I have done this a few times on special occasions. I can also make chicken or salmon taste great with a huge pile of leaves and herbs. My kids love my cottage pie with sweet potato mash.
