Pompey will bid for a third consecutive triumph when they host Scunthorpe on Saturday.

Steve Cotterill's men built on a superb victory over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium with a brilliant win at Norwich last weekend.

Now, back on home turf, they will be hoping to make it three out of three as they continue their rise towards the play-off positions.

But Steve Cotterill has a number of selection problems ahead of the home clash.

He can only use Michael Brown and Richard Hughes once more before the club is forced to grant them new deals on wages Pompey cannot afford.

So does the gaffer risk them in this one? Has he got any option but to play one of them with the squad so thin?

To make matters worse, a booking Greg Halford has racked up five bookings and is ruled out through suspension.

Four yellows cards for Pompey, plus one for Wolves earlier this season, will sideline the right-sided player.

However, Carl Dickinson is set to return from his three-match suspension leaving Joel Ward clear to switch to right-back.

Will these changes alter Pompey's momentum? Or will they make it three out of three and give the Fratton faithful plenty to cheer?
