The Olympics are almost upon us and if you’d like to have the chance to try some of the events before you see them on the television, head to Staunton Country Park this weekend.

Free taster sports activities with an Olympic theme are just one of many attractions during the Hampshire Water Festival taking place this weekend.

During the festival there will be a full programme of live entertainment for all ages and interactive workshops, so you can get involved.

Family activities including pond dipping and face painting are also part of the fun.

There will be over 50 exhibitors, including water related organisations and local food producers and garden nurseries on hand to offer advice.

Those attending the free Water Festival will receive half price admission to Staunton Country Farm and Gardens and refreshments will also be on sale.

Now in its 10th year, the Hampshire Water Festival was formed to promote water conservation in a fun and informative way.

This is the fourth year that it has been held at Staunton Country Park.

Parking is £1 per vehicle at this event, which runs from 10am until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
